Good News/Bad News

First, the good news:
The Impure Blood, Volume 4 Kickstarter page is up and ready to launch!

Whiiiiccchh brings me to the bad news...
I checked in with the printer this week, and unfortunately there's been no movement on the container that has the shipment of Impure Blood, Vol.3 books.
Like, none.
In the last month.
I'd been hearing that Covid delays have been backing up distribution networks across the world, but this is something else. I've been looking to see if there's anything I can do.
I even looked into what it would take to fly to the west coast, rent a UHaul, and drive home.
(It would be a 30 hour drive home to Minnesota, plus the books still need to go through customs, plus I think they're still on the boat. And, while I am a pretty good swimmer, I'm not sure I could schlep a literal ton of books on my back across the harbor.)
So unfortunately, the reality of the situation is that waiting is the only option. And because my mama always taught me to finish what I'm working on before starting something new, it's looking like Impure Blood, Vol.4 will probably get pushed back to early next year.
So yeah. I'm kinda bummed about that, and there's not much else to say about it. I feel like I'm letting down the people who were looking forward to the final chapter of Impure Blood and I was kinda counting on the revenue from the Volume 4 to keep things rolling into the new year.
Now don't get me wrong, things are going to be OK. This isn't going to sink me and I've weathered worse. It's just not the way I was hoping to close out 2021.

Fulfillment update and Vol. 4 cover sneak peak!

Hey!
I've received an update from my printer, and I wanted to pass it along to you. The shipment of Impure Blood Vol.3 is at the port and waiting to be unloaded. As you probably know Covid is still causing delays throughout the worlds shipping and distribution network, and I'm afraid we small time indie-types aren't any different.
Currently the plan is to receive the books by the end of September, and launch Volume 4 in Mid-October.
Fingers-crossed, knock on wood, etc. and so forth.
To that end, I would like to share with you a sneak peak of the cover for the fourth and final volume of Impure Blood!
Whaddya think? Appropriately epic? Does it read OK? Are there the right number of "O"s in "Blood"?
I'll let you know when the Kickstarter page is up and running so you won't miss out on launch day. I'm really excited for this. It's kinda the end of an era for me. Plus, I can't wait till you see some of the fun stuff I have in store for you.

I'm pleased to announce that Impure Blood Vol.3 is currently on it's merry way across the Pacific Ocean!
Unfortunately, Covid delays at ports are still a thing. I've been talking to the printer and we're currently estimating that I should have the books in hand by mid to late September. This will also have the effect of pushing back the launch of Volume 4 to October, but you can bet that I'll be keeping you updated about that.

As for me, the game plan is the same as it was with Volume 2: Be ready to launch as soon as I get the books out!

Heya!
Great news!
Moreover, three great newses!
1. The pins are in! And they are looking sharp! (see what I did there?)
They are even cooler than I was hoping for! And now that I have them in my hot little hands, I can start in on fulfilling the physical rewards. In fact, I already have!
2.All physical copies of Volumes 1 and/or 2 and the rewards that came with them are out and away!
They should be showing up in mail boxes within the next week or two! And the copies of Impure Blood, Vol. 3 won't be far behind, becaaauussse...
3. The order for Impure Blood, Volume 3 has received the green light from the printer! I'm still waiting on an estimate for how long it will take to get the books to me. Hopefully it won't be as long as Volume 2, but I understand that Covid is still wreaking havoc on international shipping. I'm as much along for the ride on this one as you are.
In the meantime, I'm continuing to plug away at my next comics project, Children of the State. I can't wait to share it with you and I hope you'll check it out when we launch!
